SPF Made Easy

Hello Loves and happy Monday!

Summer is officialy here! It means a school/uni and for some work break, but also beach, shells, sea, piña coladas and sun. Yes! A lot of sun!

While on the beach we know we need to apply SPF few times as protection only lasts several hours. It’s not a problem to apply it all over your body while wearing a swimsuit. But what about when you’re working in the city and want to protect your face from this very strong summer sun?

Even though you might plan your vacations in other season, summer is happening now and you need to protect this pretty skin of yours wherever you are!

How to do it easy and effortless without making your fingers and face greasy? Especially when you’re already wearing makeup?! Of course you don’t want to distroy it!

There is a solution to that!

Recently you can find SPF in a powder form which not only works as your regular powder but also sun protector. You can apply it as many times throughtout the day as needed in the same time getting rid of than shine baby!

Have you ever tried powder SPF? Let me know in the comments? What you actually think about the idea of this product?

Kiehl’s Midnight recovery Concentrate – Review

Hello Loves and happy Monday!

Today I wanted to share with you my thoughts on the newest baby in my skincare collection. If you know the brand Kiehl’s I’m certain you’ve also heard about their bestseller Midnight Recovery Concentrate.

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

I’ve never owned anything from Kiehl’s since I simply couldn’t afford their products. But my boyfriend surprised me with this product for my birthday!

On Kiehl’s website they promote this product by writing:

  • Visibly reduces fine lines, refines skin’s texture and boosts radiance in just one night
  • Helps smooth and firm skin’s appearance
  • Boosts essential moisture to help restore the appearance of tired-looking skin
  • Replenishes skin at night when it is most receptive to repairing itself from daily aggressors
  • Absorbs easily with a lightweight texture
  • Leaves skin soft, supple and hydrated

Honestly, only after first use I could feel the difference in my skin! I’m not sure if it reduced any fine lines, but definitely did most things from the list!

Next morning my skin felt so fresh, moisturized, soft and glowy! From now on I use it under moisturizer or just by itself. I love how fast it sinks into the skin and doesn’t leave it feeling oily but rather nourished and hydrated.

After cleansing my face I take 3-5 drops and gently pat it on my skin with my fingertips.

The concentrate is a mix of oils but the scent is majority a lavender note. I was afraid it will be too strong for me since I’m not so keen on lavender, but it’s not and I enjoy applying it a lot. Something about using it makes me feel so happy! It takes just a minute but the whole process of getting ready to sleep seams a little bit more luxurious now.

The only down side to this product is the price. Since natural oils available in drugstores are usually not expensive, the price of this particular oil blend makes me think. But hey, this works wonders on my skin and I’m willing to save some money to get another bottle!

I definitely recommend it to anyone who can afford it or just wants to treat themselves or ask for it as a present!

June Favorites! Fashion, Jewellery & Makeup Items

Hello Loves! Hope you have a great Monday!

This month favourites include one fashion item, two makeup and one skincare product and one new everyday use jewellery piece!

Let’s start with makeup, shall we?

Guys, how gorgeous is this colour??? I think I don’t need to explain why iconic Twig Mac Lipstick is in my favourites! I never owned a Mac lipstick before I got this one last month. I know! So embarrassing! Shame on me! Well, all I can say is that now I perfectly understand why this colour and formula of Mac lipsticks in general is favourite of so many beauty addicts! You should definitely try it yourself someday! They have a shade for everyone. It’s affordable ($17) and you get a really high quality product. Two thumbs up for this one!

All about this wonderful Bourjois 123 Perfect CC cream you can read here, in my recent review. So let’s go straight to iconic skincare product – Bio-Oil. I could write a very long review about how great it is, but I’ll keep it short and sweet this time. It really helped my skin to be moisturized for the whole day more than any other cream moisturizer did. My skin usually starts to get really dry at the middle of the day. And that time of the day while using cream moisturiser my makeup was looking worse. You could notice my super dry undereyes and creasing concealer. Since I started to use Bio-Oil my makeup looks very natural for the whole day! That means a win for me! All the products I put on my face blend so damb well I honestly couldnt believe it! I also feel like it evened out my skin a bit. I have less hyper pigmentation for sure!

This super cute top I got on Zara’s last sale. (Sorry Loves but I couldn’t find it online. I believe it sold out) It’s a dark blue, crochet top with a corset like detail on front. I love this top and have been wearing it a lot this past month!

Last but not least is that AMAZING ring my wonderful boyfriend got me! How gorgeous it is???? I just can’t! I know it looks a LOT like engagement ring (we’re not engaged!) but I don’t care! I wear it on my right hand’s 4th finger. It’s funny, because I was never a big fan of silver, but this ring I loved from the first moment I saw it. I guess, I like silver since it sparkles like unicorn tears, right? haha! It’s from Pandora if you want to get it yourself! For all my everyday jewellery collection click here.

Sephora Face Masks review

Hi Loves and happy Monday!

For today’s post I prepared a review of two Sephora Masks. One is a full face rose mask and second one is just a charcoal nose strip.

On Saturday I decided to pumper myself and use the full face rose mask ($6). It is supposed to brighten and moisturize your skin. I kept it on, as it said on the packaging, for 15 mins and have to say the whole process was really relaxing and felt very luxurious (I’m not used to do masks often as you can tell). After those 15 minutes I took it off and instantly felt refreshed. I massaged any leftovers of the mask into my skin. Honestly, I could feel that mask helped me with moisturizing my face more than I could see it. So visually I didn’t see much difference. Although my skin felt great! Did it brighten my complexion? I don’t think so. If so, then very slightly.

The nose strip I used on my boyfriend because he was asking me if I have this super famous black peel off mask, which I didn’t. I offered him this Sephora one and he was quite pleased with the result. Before using it don’t forget to read the instructions! I didn’t pay attention that nose, beside being clean, should also be damp. But after all, with a little help of wet towel, it got stuck to my love’s nose and worked as promised. Results were ok, without revelation. I think you could find something better for that price ($3).

Will I use this again? The nose strip – I don’t think that I’ll bother with it. The rose face mask – Maybe yes, before important event or just to pamper and spoil myself a little bit!

Did you use some of Sephora masks? Which ones? Did you like them or not? Share below! I’d love to hear about your masks experiences!

P.S. Keep your eyes peeled on the next post! It will be my June favourites!
